Services and Disclaimer Terms
Services and Disclaimer Terms
By starting to use Grandprint's services (including browsing this website, uploading design files, and purchasing products), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to accept these Services and Disclaimer Terms. These terms, together with the details set out below, form a legally binding agreement between you and Grandprint.
1. Artwork Submission & File Compliance
Customer Responsibility:
You must provide ready-to-print design files in the correct format. Your files must strictly comply with the following printing requirements:
· Files must be in CMYK colour mode.
· Resolution must be at least 300 DPI.
· At least 3mm of bleed area must be provided on all four sides.
· All text must be converted to outlines.
Disclaimer:
We will not proofread or manually review the content, text, spelling, or design of files submitted by you. If the final print is affected by errors in your file, such as spelling mistakes, low-resolution images, serious colour shift caused by RGB-to-CMYK conversion, or missing fonts caused by text not being outlined, you are solely responsible for the printing results and all resulting financial losses, and we will not be liable.
2. Colour Variance & Tolerances
Screen vs Printed Colour:
You acknowledge and agree that there is an inherent technical difference between colours shown on a computer or mobile phone screen (RGB mode) and colours produced in printed output (CMYK mode). Normal colour differences may also arise from different paper stocks, different production batches, and gang printing. A colour difference within +/- 10% is considered acceptable finished goods, and you may not request a reprint or refund on that basis.
Cutting and Finishing Tolerance:
During post-press processes such as machine cutting, folding, or creasing, a reasonable finishing displacement of up to +/- 1.5mm is permitted.
Quantity Tolerance:
Due to normal production wastage, the final delivered quantity may reasonably vary by +/- 5% (over or under). If the delivered quantity is short, we will refund the proportional amount for the missing quantity. We will not arrange a reprint for this tolerance.
3. Copyright & Content Legality
Copyright Warranty:
Under the Copyright Ordinance of Hong Kong, you must warrant that all design files, trademarks, images, and text submitted for printing are fully licensed to you, or that you own the full copyright.
Refusal to Print Unlawful Content:
If your printed material contains any unlicensed or unauthorised content, such as unauthorised logos or images, objectionable wording, indecent or obscene content, defamatory statements, privacy infringement, counterfeiting, plagiarism, copying, intellectual property infringement, or infringement of any third party's rights, we will not be responsible for any related legal liability.
Customer Warranty:
You are responsible for, and warrant that, the printed material does not contain any text, images, designs, trademarks, or works used without authorisation from the copyright owner; that it does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, publicity, or privacy rights; that it does not defame or disparage any third party; and that it does not contain unlicensed or unauthorised logos, images, objectionable wording, indecent or obscene content, defamation, privacy infringement, counterfeiting, plagiarism, copying, intellectual property infringement, or infringement of any third party's rights. You are also responsible for, and warrant that, you have obtained all necessary permissions, rights, and authorisations to place the order.
We may ask you to provide supporting authorisation documents for verification.
You acknowledge and agree that you have legal and contractual responsibility to ensure that all materials provided to us comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, including but not limited to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, the Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance, and the Law of the People's Republic of China on Safeguarding National Security in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
We do not accept any duty to inspect or verify content provided by you or your agents.
We reserve the right to reject an order, or to stop printing or delivering any project that may violate laws or regulations or offend generally accepted moral standards.
We state that we are not responsible to users, their agents, or any third party for the printed content or its display, publication, or use.
If you breach these terms and we suffer losses, or if any claim, proceeding, notice, or action is brought against us, you undertake to indemnify us for all losses we suffer, including but not limited to related claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees.
We may disclose your files and printed content when required by court, government, or regulatory orders, or by legal or regulatory requirements.
We have the final decision on whether any printing or production will proceed.
4. Strict No-Return & No-Refund Policy
No Return or Refund: Because custom-printed products are made for you and cannot be resold, once payment for an order is successful and the artwork has gone into production, we will not accept cancellation, content changes, returns, or refunds for any reason.
Inspection Window: You must inspect the products within 48 hours of receiving them. If there is a serious printing defect caused by our equipment (for example, large areas of missing print, ink contamination, or structural damage), you must take photos and contact customer service within 48 hours. If no written objection is received by that deadline, the products will be treated as having been delivered perfectly.
5. Local Shipping & SF Express Terms
SF Express Delivery Charges: We use SF Express for local Hong Kong delivery by default. Goods will be shipped directly from our factory in Mainland China. Any SF Express surcharges for remote areas or residential addresses in Hong Kong will be collected from you directly by SF Express at the time of delivery. We are not involved in estimating those delivery charges.
Passing of Risk: Once printed products are handed to SF Express and a tracking number is issued, ownership of the goods and the risk of loss or damage pass to you immediately. We will not be liable, whether directly or indirectly, for packages damaged, dented, lost, or affected by moisture during carriage by SF Express. You must contact SF Express directly to make a claim.
Delivery Time Disclaimer: Delivery times shown on the website or provided by customer service are only estimated working days of the logistics company and are not a guarantee. If delivery is delayed by force majeure in the logistics process, such as customs or clearance issues, extreme weather (for example, Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or a Black Rainstorm Warning), or reasons caused by you (for example, an incorrect address or an unanswered phone), we will not be liable for any late-delivery penalty and will not accept any cancellation request. We are also not liable for other losses caused by the delay.
Locker/Store Pickup: If you choose an SF Locker or SF Store as the delivery address, you must ensure that the mobile phone number provided is correct so that you receive the pickup notification. If goods are returned by SF or extra storage fees are incurred because you did not pick them up in time, you must pay all reshipment and related costs in full.
6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
Hong Kong Law: These terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Exclusive Jurisdiction: For any dispute arising from the services or printed products, the parties shall first attempt to resolve it by friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be submitted directly to the courts of Hong Kong, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Amendments and Interpretation: We have the right to change the above terms, conditions, details, and notices without prior notice. If there is any inconsistency between the Chinese and English versions of these Services and Disclaimer Terms, the Chinese version prevails. We reserve the right of final interpretation.
